The Prayer

Heavenly Father, I place my husband into Your loving hands today. You have entrusted him with gifts, responsibilities, and a mission in this life. Bless the work of his hands and guide every decision he makes. Grant him wisdom in moments of uncertainty, courage when he faces challenges, and perseverance when the road feels long. May his efforts bear good fruit, not only for success in the world, but for growth in virtue and holiness. Lord Jesus, protect him from harm— guard his body, mind, and spirit. Shield him from discouragement, temptation, and fear. Send Your holy angels to watch over him in his work, in his travels, and in his rest. Holy Spirit, fill him with confidence and peace. Help him remember that his worth is not measured by achievements, but by being a beloved son of God. May all he does be for Your glory. Keep our marriage strong, rooted in faith, trust, and love. I entrust him to the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to St. Joseph, faithful protector and provider. Amen.

About This Prayer

This prayer asks God to bless a husband’s work, protect him from spiritual and physical harm, and guide him toward both professional success and holiness. It acknowledges that true success is not just financial or career advancement, but faithfulness to God’s calling. Invoking the intercession of St. Joseph is especially fitting, as he is the patron of workers, fathers, and protectors of families.

When To Pray

This prayer can be said in the morning before your husband leaves for work, during times of career transition, before an important meeting or decision, or whenever he is facing stress or uncertainty. It is also beautiful to pray on the feast of St. Joseph (March 19) or St. Joseph the Worker (May 1), asking his special intercession for provision and protection.
