About This Prayer

A Prayer for My Marriage asks God to strengthen the covenant established through the Sacrament of Matrimony. In the Catholic Church, marriage is not only a partnership but a sacrament through which Christ gives grace to husband and wife, enabling them to love one another faithfully and sacrificially. The Catechism teaches that the grace of this sacrament helps spouses grow in holiness together and build a family rooted in faith. When couples pray for their marriage, they invite God to renew the sacramental grace that unites them and sustains their commitment through every season of life.

The Prayer

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the sacred gift of our marriage. Through the sacrament of Matrimony, You have joined our lives together in a covenant of love. I ask that Your grace continue to strengthen the bond You have created between us. Lord, help us to love one another with patience, kindness, and humility. When we face difficulties, remind us that our marriage is sustained not only by our efforts, but by the grace You pour into this sacrament. Teach us to listen with compassion, to forgive quickly, and to seek peace in our home. Help us to place You at the center of our marriage so that our love may reflect Your faithful love for the Church. Renew the love that brought us together and deepen our commitment to one another. May our marriage be a sign of Your presence in the world and a source of strength, joy, and witness to others. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
