The Prayer

Lord God, You have called me to live with courage, integrity, and humility. Today, I place my work, my responsibilities, and my struggles into Your hands. Give me strength when I am tired, wisdom when I must decide, and patience when I am tested. Help me to lead with love, to serve without seeking recognition, and to remain faithful when the road is difficult. Guard my heart from pride, discouragement, and temptation, and form me into the man You created me to be. May my words honor You, my actions reflect Christ, and my life be a quiet witness to Your truth. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

About This Prayer

This Daily Prayer for Men is rooted in the Catholic understanding of masculine vocation: to lead through service, to protect through love, and to grow in holiness through daily faithfulness. Rather than focusing only on strength in the physical sense, the prayer asks God for interior strength—wisdom, patience, humility, and perseverance. It is especially suited for men striving to balance work, family, faith, and personal responsibility while remaining grounded in Christ and open to God’s transforming grace.

When To Pray

This prayer is well suited for the start of the day, before heading to work, beginning a commute, or entering into responsibilities at home. It may also be prayed during a lunch break or in the evening as a way to re-center the heart when the day feels heavy or discouraging. Many men find it helpful to pray this prayer consistently each morning as a way to consecrate their daily efforts, decisions, and relationships to God.
