About This Prayer

A Short Prayer for Peace of Mind asks God to calm anxious thoughts and bring spiritual peace to the heart. In the Catholic faith, true peace is not simply the absence of worry but the presence of God’s grace within us. When we bring our concerns to the Lord in prayer, we are reminded that He walks with us through every difficulty and invites us to trust in His providence.

The Prayer

Lord Jesus, In moments when my thoughts feel heavy and my heart is troubled, I turn to You.  Quiet my mind and calm my spirit. Let Your presence bring rest to my soul and clarity to my thoughts. Amen.

Pause and Reflect...

What is weighing on your heart right now, and how can you place it into God’s hands?

When To Pray

This prayer can be offered whenever someone feels overwhelmed by stress, worry, or anxious thoughts. Many Catholics pray for peace of mind during moments of uncertainty, before making important decisions, or when seeking calm after a difficult day. It can also be prayed quietly during personal reflection as a way of placing one’s thoughts and concerns into God’s hands.
