About This Prayer
A Prayer for Stress invites God into moments of worry, pressure, or emotional exhaustion. In Catholic spirituality, turning to God in times of stress helps us remember that we are not meant to carry our burdens alone. Jesus Himself invites us to bring our struggles to Him and find rest in His presence. Through prayer, we entrust our concerns to God and ask for the grace to face challenges with peace, patience, and trust in His providence.
The Prayer
Jesus,
You know the burdens that weigh on my heart. When stress and worry begin to overwhelm me, I turn to You for peace and strength.
Lord, calm my mind and quiet my thoughts. Help me to remember that You are present in every moment of my life and that nothing is beyond Your care.
When I feel anxious or pressured, give me patience and clarity. Help me to trust that You are guiding my path, even when I cannot see the way forward.
Fill my heart with Your peace and remind me that Your grace is enough for every challenge I face.
May Your presence bring rest to my soul and confidence to my spirit. I place my worries into Your hands and trust in Your loving care.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

When To Pray
This prayer can be offered whenever someone feels overwhelmed by responsibilities, anxiety, or emotional strain. Many Catholics pray for relief from stress during busy periods at work, family challenges, or difficult decisions. It may also be prayed daily as a way of placing the pressures of life into God’s hands and asking Him for calm and guidance.
