About This Prayer

This Prayer for Children is a heartfelt Catholic prayer asking God’s protection, guidance, and blessing upon children of every age. It recognizes that children are a precious gift entrusted to us by God, deserving of spiritual support as they learn, grow, and face the challenges of the world. The prayer reflects themes of innocence, safety, wisdom, and God’s loving presence in every stage of childhood. Rooted in Christ’s own tenderness toward children (cf. The Prayer

Guide their minds as they learn, strengthen their hearts as they grow, and fill their lives with the grace that comes only from You. May they always know their dignity as beloved sons and daughters of God. Bless their families, teachers, caregivers, and all who shape their young lives. Help them walk in virtue, grow in wisdom, and discover the beauty of Your plan for them. Lord Jesus, watch over every child—those who are happy, those who are hurting, those who feel alone, and those in need of healing. Hold them close to Your Sacred Heart today and always. Amen.
