About This Prayer

This birthday prayer is rooted in gratitude and trust in God’s providence. It echoes the spirit of Psalm 139 (RSV), where we are reminded that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made,” and reflects the traditional priestly blessing from Numbers 6:24–26. It is meant to consecrate a new year of life to God, asking for grace, guidance, and deeper union with Him.

The Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of life and for the blessing of another year. You have guided me through joys and trials, and Your faithful love has never left me. Lord, I place this new year of life into Your hands. Fill my days with Your grace, my heart with Your peace, and my path with Your light. Grant me wisdom to follow Your will, strength to carry my crosses, and courage to grow in holiness each day. Bless my family, my friends, and all those who walk with me in this life. May I always seek You first, and trust in Your perfect plan. May this year bring me closer to You, and may all that I do give glory to Your name. I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

✨ Birthday Blessing

May the Lord bless you and keep you on this special day.
May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May He look upon you with kindness and grant you His peace.

May your life be filled with faith, hope, and love.
May you grow in wisdom and grace,
and may each year draw you closer to the heart of God.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary watch over you,
and may the saints intercede for you always.

And may Almighty God bless you,
the Father, and the Son, ✠ and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
