Prayer When Anxious
"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'... Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all." — Matthew 6:31–32 (RSV)

Prayer When Anxious
The Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You know the worries that weigh upon my heart. When fear and anxiety begin to overwhelm me, remind me of Your loving words not to be anxious, but to trust in the Father’s faithful care.
Quiet my restless mind and fill my heart with Your peace. Help me to surrender what I cannot control and place every concern into Your loving hands. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are always with me and that Your grace is greater than every fear.
Through the intercession of St. Dymphna, comfort those who struggle with anxiety and emotional distress. Obtain for me the grace to persevere with hope, courage, and confidence in God’s unfailing love.
Jesus, I trust in You.
Amen.
