About

St. Mary Magdalene was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and is one of the most well-known women in the New Testament. Jesus healed her by casting out seven demons, and from that moment on, she followed Him faithfully. She was present at the Crucifixion and was the first to witness the empty tomb and the Resurrection. Because of this, the Church honors her as the “Apostle to the Apostles.”

Legacy

St. Mary Magdalene is remembered for her deep love for Jesus and her powerful conversion. Her life reminds us that no one is beyond God’s mercy. She is a model of repentance, faithfulness, and courage. Churches and shrines around the world are dedicated to her, and her story continues to inspire Christians to seek Christ with a sincere heart.
“Love was the cause of her sorrow… and love was the cause of her joy.” — St. Anselm
