The All Saints Novena is prayed for nine days in preparation for the Solemnity of All Saints (Nov. 1). This novena honors all the saints in heaven, both known and unknown, and reminds us that each Christian is called to holiness. By praying this novena, the faithful ask for the saints’ intercession to grow in virtue, overcome struggles, and remain faithful to Christ. Many pray it for family intentions, for the grace of perseverance, and for the sanctification of the Church.

When to Pray

The All Saints Novena is traditionally prayed from October 23–31, finishing the day before the Solemnity of All Saints (Nov. 1). However, it can be prayed at any time of the year to ask for the intercession of all the saints in heaven, especially in times of struggle, decision-making, or when praying for perseverance in holiness.

Day 1

Lord Jesus Christ, You are the crown of all the saints. On this first day, I thank You for the witness of holy men and women who have followed You with heroic faith. May their prayers help me to be faithful in my own life. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 2

God of holiness, You raised up saints from every walk of life—bishops, priests, religious, lay men and women. Give me the grace to live my vocation faithfully, whatever You are calling me to do. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 3

Lord, You strengthened the martyrs with courage and joy. Help me to endure the trials and crosses of my life with the same steadfast spirit. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 4

Heavenly Father, the saints lived lives of charity, mercy, and love. Through their intercession, help me to be a channel of Your love to all I meet. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 5

O God, the saints found their joy in Your presence. Help me to seek You above all things, and to never let sin separate me from Your love. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 6

Jesus, You called sinners to become saints. I entrust to You those I love who are far from the faith. By the prayers of all the saints, bring them back to Your Sacred Heart. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 7

Holy Spirit, You filled the saints with Your gifts of wisdom, courage, and faith. Fill me also, that I may live in holiness and spread Your Gospel with my life. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 8

Lord, You promised that the pure of heart shall see God. Grant me purity of mind and heart, so that I may live in Your truth and someday join the saints in heaven. All Saints of God, pray for us.

Day 9

Eternal Father, today I thank You for the countless saints in heaven, both known and unknown. By their prayers, grant me the grace to persevere until the end, and one day join them in everlasting joy. All Saints of God, pray for us.
