When to Pray

It is especially meaningful for those who feel they have no one else to turn to except God.

Day 1

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of impossible and difficult cases. I humbly ask you to intercede for me, especially in this time of need. (Pause—mention your intention.) Coming to your aid, O St. Jude, I seek God’s consolation and mercy in all my trials, troubles, sufferings, and uncertainty. St. Jude, help me grow in love for the Lord, even when love feels difficult. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored and loved forever. Amen. May the Immaculate Heart of Mary be praised and loved forever. Amen. May the great saint Jude Thaddeus be exalted throughout the world, now and forever. Amen.

Day 2

St. Jude, chosen by God to be one of the twelve Apostles, you remained faithful to Jesus even when others deserted Him. Help me to remain steadfast in my faith, especially in times of difficulty. Intercede for my intention, bringing it before the Lord with confidence in His mercy. Teach me to follow Christ more closely, to trust in His love, and to live each day in hope. Amen.

Day 3

Glorious St. Jude, your life was a testimony to the power of God’s grace at work in those who believe. I ask for your prayers in my present need, trusting that your intercession will obtain for me the help and consolation I seek. Strengthen my faith, that I may never give in to despair, but instead place all my trust in God’s care. Amen.

Day 4

St. Jude, Apostle of Christ and servant to the early Church, you labored tirelessly to spread the Gospel. Pray for me that I may have the courage to live out my faith in my daily life. Bring my intention before the Lord and ask Him to grant me the strength to persevere in prayer and in doing good, even in the face of trials. Amen.

Day 5

Blessed St. Jude, you knew the challenges of following Christ in a world that often opposed His message. Stand with me as I face my own difficulties and struggles. Intercede for my intention, asking the Lord to grant me the wisdom and patience I need. Help me to find joy in serving God and in trusting His divine plan for my life. Amen.

Day 6

Faithful St. Jude, your example teaches me that nothing is impossible for God. Pray that I may approach Him with a humble heart and a steadfast spirit. Bring my intention before Him, asking that I may be strengthened in faith, uplifted in hope, and renewed in love. May I always be mindful of the blessings I have received and use them for His glory. Amen.

Day 7

Holy St. Jude, your life was marked by zeal for the Gospel and a deep love for God’s people. Pray that I may grow in love for the Lord and in compassion for others. Present my intention before Him, that I may be granted the grace I seek and the strength to endure all things in union with Christ. Amen.

Day 8

St. Jude, pillar of faith and hope, you are a friend to those in distress. I come to you in my need, confident in your powerful intercession. Pray for me that I may be freed from anxiety and filled with peace in trusting God’s will. Bring my intention before the Lord, that His mercy may be poured out abundantly in my life. Amen.

Day 9

Glorious St. Jude, in you I see the faithful disciple who followed Christ to the end, even unto martyrdom. Pray for me that I may remain true to the faith throughout my life. Present my intention to God, and if it be His will, may it be granted. I promise to honor you always as my special patron and to encourage devotion to you. Amen.
