The Prayer

O Saint Padre Pio, faithful servant of God and powerful intercessor, you who bore the wounds of Christ and trusted completely in His mercy, look upon my need with compassion. I place before God this intention that weighs upon my heart (pause and silently state your intention). Obtain for me the grace I seek, if it be in accordance with God’s holy will, and help me to accept His plan with faith and peace. Teach me to unite my sufferings to the Cross of Jesus, to trust when answers seem delayed, and to believe that nothing is impossible for God. Saint Padre Pio, pray for me, that I may grow in holiness, perseverance, and love, and one day rejoice with you in heaven. Amen.

About This Prayer

The Padre Pio Miracle Prayer is a devotional prayer seeking the intercession of Padre Pio, a Capuchin friar known for extraordinary spiritual gifts, deep humility, and unwavering trust in God. Catholics around the world turn to this prayer when facing serious needs—physical, emotional, spiritual, or seemingly impossible situations. Padre Pio repeatedly reminded the faithful that miracles flow not from human effort, but from confident abandonment to God’s will. This prayer reflects that trust, asking not only for divine intervention, but also for the grace to endure, hope, and grow closer to Christ through suffering.

When To Pray

This prayer may be prayed during moments of urgent need, such as illness, family crises, financial hardship, or spiritual distress. Many Catholics choose to pray it as part of a novena, especially when seeking perseverance over several days, or before receiving the Sacrament of Confession or the Eucharist. It is also fitting to pray this prayer when visiting or spiritually uniting oneself to places associated with Padre Pio, such as the shrine in San Giovanni Rotondo, or on his feast day, September 23.
