About This Prayer
This Opening Prayer for Class invites God into the classroom and asks Him to guide both students and teachers throughout their time together. It reminds us that learning is a gift and that the pursuit of knowledge should ultimately lead us toward truth, wisdom, and service to others. St. Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of students and Catholic schools, is invoked as a special intercessor.
The Prayer
Heavenly Father,
As we begin this class, be present among us. Fill our minds with wisdom, our hearts with kindness, and our work with purpose. Help us listen carefully, learn with humility, and use the gifts You have given us for the good of others. Through the intercession of St. Thomas Aquinas, guide us in our search for knowledge, wisdom, and truth.
