The Prayer

Lord Jesus, You taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who hurt us. I bring before You the people who have caused me pain, confusion, or anger. I ask You to bless them with Your peace, truth, and mercy. Heal whatever wounds have led them to act as they have, and heal my own heart of resentment, bitterness, or fear. Give me the grace to forgive as You forgive, not by my strength, but by Yours. Help me to see others as You see them, and to respond with love where I would rather withdraw or retaliate. May Your Holy Spirit guard my words, guide my actions, and free my heart, so that I may walk in true freedom as Your disciple. Amen.

About This Prayer

The Prayer for Enemies flows directly from the teachings of Jesus, who calls His followers to a love that goes beyond natural instinct. In praying for those who oppose or wound us, we surrender the desire for revenge and allow God to work healing in both our hearts and theirs.
